Fresh Select partnered with Cherry to take control of their energy usage and reduce their environmental footprint.
Both parties were concerned with the structural integrity of the available roof space for solar, so Cherry then engaged an engineer to assess and design a suitable solar system for Fresh Select’s infrastructure and load profile.
The 274.01kW solar system is made up of Q CELL solar panels and Fronius inverters.
Fresh Select were extremely happy with the quality of workmanship and willingness of the installation team to work with daily productions schedules.
Over the next 25 years, the system will save Fresh Select more than $2,160,000, by producing 347,622 kWh of clean energy per annum.
This financial outcome exceeded expectations and Fresh Select have engaged Cherry for a Stage 2 solar project, involving installation of another 200kW system once a new structure has been built on-site.
