Milparinka Disability Services in Brunswick supports people who have a disability to pursue lifestyles that include the same opportunities that all members of the community expect and enjoy. They were interested in going solar and engaged Moreland Energy Foundation for assistance and support in the process.

THE CHALLENGE.

As a preferred supplier for commercial solar and due to our friendly and consultative approach, Cherry Energy Solutions were selected to complete the project. Milparinka were also supported by Powershop’s Community Energy Program and received $10,000 towards the cost of the project.

THE SOLUTION.

Milparinka were interested in getting the largest solar system possible, while still being aesthetically pleasing. To achieve this, Cherry designed a 22.88kW solar system with tilted the panels on the north side of the building.

Thanks to the Powershop grant and excellent return on investment for solar energy, Milparinka will be cashflow positive by more than $18,000 over the next 10 years, with
64% of their energy needs provided by solar.

The system will produce approximately 30,505 kWh per annum, equivalent to savings of over $4,000!
