Hawkers Beer were conscious of the high electricity bills for their brewery in Reservoir. The opportunity to upgrade to LED lighting offered an easy way to reduce costs while improving the working environment.
As a company with sustainability at the heart of their business, Hawkers Brewery were also particularly interested in reducing their carbon footprint.
The LED upgrade involved the installation of 21 150W Cherry LED Corn Lights which will lead to energy savings of over 63%. Approved under the VEET scheme, the Cherry LED Corn Lights generated a subsidy of over $5,000, reducing the cost of the upgrade by 76%!
Over the next 10 years, Hawkers will save $40,932, a return on investment of 354%.
In addition, due to Cherry’s participation in the City of Darebin’s Light$mart program, Hawkers Brewery received an additional subsidy of $827!
